Hello rachel_wollman,

It's great to hear from you again and I hope you enjoyed your weekend. It's important to me that you get the answers you need for ensuring your tax filing is correct in QuickBooks Online and I'm happy to steer you in the right direction.

Knowing exactly what kind of tax filing you're looking at is vital here. If you mean sales tax filing, there are a couple of options. The first option is to consider entering a sales tax adjustment on the next filing period. The Adjust sales tax article walks you through the steps of completing that.

Another option is to touch base with an accountant user, if you have one, or to contact the QuickBooks Online support team to have the filing undone so you can make the changes you need. Accountant users and the QuickBooks support team have access to the tool needed to undo the filing.

If you're not already working with an accountant user and would like to, check out the My Accountant tab. There, you can invite an accountant you're working with outside of QuickBooks as a user or use the Find a pro to help button to search our database of QuickBooks-certified accountants.

If you're looking at something other than sales tax, this is another opportunity to contact the QuickBooks Online support team to make sure we have the details needed to properly guide you in this situation. Here are the options for getting in touch with us.
