Question

I have multiple new employees who are unable to make a new profile as they've used the email at another place of employment. Is there really no work around for this?

If an employee’s email address is already in use in QuickBooks Online and cannot login with their previous email address, there are a few steps you can take:

 

1. Update the employee’s email address in their Intuit account: The employee can update their email address associated with their Intuit account. Once the email address is updated, you can then update the employee’s email in your QBO records.
2. Employees are also able to use a secondary email address if their primary email address is already in use.

 

If you encounter any issues with the steps above, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online support team, this way, they can investigate the matter further and provide a resolution.

 

Here are the steps to connect with us:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab, then click Contact Us.
  4. Enter your brief concern in the field.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Click the Chat or Callback option.
