Question

I have payroll and pay for it but I can't run the payroll. I just migrated from desktop to online. Also want to make certain employees inactive but I can only delete

Hi there, 

 

It's great that you're now using QuickBooks Online! I'll be happy to show you how to make an employee inactive on your account.

 

Here's how:

  1.     Select Employees.
  2.     Under Action, select the drop-down beside Edit.
  3.     Select Make Inactive.  

Once the employee returns, you can make them active by following these steps: 

  1.     Select the Gear icon below Add an employee.
  2.     Select Include inactive.
  3.     Select Make active.
