Question

I'm trying to run my payroll and I enter everything correctly (as far as I can tell) and get an error saying "Negative payroll amount not allowed." How can I correct this

I've changed parameters, salary amounts, and everytime I get the same error and nothing gets processed in the payroll.  Any help would be appreciated.

Great job with the troubleshooting steps you've taken to try to resolve the negative payroll message. It sounds like you're eager to take care of some pay runs before the holidays, which is a great initiative for getting ahead of the game and not leaving work to worry about over any days off you may be taking. I'll explain what's going on.

 

I encourage you to review this response I gave to another user who was also seeing the "negative payroll" error message. You can look at it here: I am getting "Negative payroll not allowed" error at the payroll confirmation screen when I try to run my payroll. My payroll is not negative.
