I need to change my business tax number that was inputted incorrectly in the first place

Including your GST/HST registration number is very important. This number must be included on receipts, invoices, contracts, or other business papers when you're selling goods or services of $30 or more (Canada Revenue Agency). The first step is to make sure your number is correct and accurate. I'll help explain how to edit the tax number in your account. 

To change the GST/HST registration number, follow these steps:

1. Click the Taxes tab on the left navigation menu. 

2. Select Sales Tax. 

3. Click Manage sales tax. 

4. Click the small triangle drop-down menu next to Add rate for the agency you're adding your tax number for. 

5. Select Edit agency settings. 

6. Fill in your new GST/HST registration number. 

7. Click Save.
