Hello homehuggersbc,

Looking in your QuickBooks Online Payroll settings is a great place to start with this kind of scenario and makes perfect sense when you want to make sure that only people that need these notifications are getting them. I'd be happy to shed more light on this situation and go over the options.

This typically happens for users with Standard Payroll and, currently, the way to stop the emails from going to the accountant is taken care of in our back-end system. As I mentioned, looking in your Payroll settings is a great idea, but in this case, it's something support will need to lend a hand with.

Don't worry, it's a quick and easy process once your account information has been verified and we've verified that the accountant isn't the one paying for the subscription. If you're under your accountant's billing, there won't be a way to turn off this notification for them. But if you're not under your accountant's billing or it's even a circumstance where the notification is going to an old accountant, we can help.

Choose from one of the contact options below to get in touch and share your account information with the QuickBooks Online support team to get this taken care of.

Schedule a Callback or Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat. Support is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
