I need to find out the entire bank account number for an employee to figure out where their pay went

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online Payroll is a a dynamic way to pay your staff with confidence.  It's important that employee information is entered accurately, to ensure they're paid as scheduled.  I'd be happy to help!

 

When direct deposit is activated and an employee has not received their funds, an email notification will be sent to the Principal Officer on the associated payroll account.  If their bank information is inaccurate, you'll need to gather the required information from your staff and edit their information by following these steps;

 

1. Select Payroll from the left menu and open the Employees tab

2. Scroll down and click the name of the employee, and then Edit

3. Click Edit in the Pay method field

4. Select Direct Deposit from the Pay method drop-down

5. Enter the employee's bank account info and hit Ok.

To pay your employee, you can create a cheque or e-transfer the funds.
