Hello office221 and welcome to the QuickBooks Community!

Sometimes mistakes happen, and I know how important it is that they're corrected. QuickBooks Online Payroll is equipped with the tools to help you run payroll accurately and efficiently, as well as support that can help make changes that you're unable to make yourself. Let me go over your options to editing these paycheques.

If you haven't selected direct deposit, and the pay date hasn't passed, you should be able to make some changes to the most recent pay run. The same method can be used to delete a paycheque if you choose to go that route to make the corrections Here's how:

  1. From the Employees page, choose Paycheque list located beneath the Run payroll button.
  2. Choose the most recent cheque by clicking it.
  3. Locate the Edit button at the bottom of the page and select it to make changes.
  4. Once finished make sure to hit OK to save your changes.

Before making any changes, it's important to ensure that you've updated your plumber's pay rate in the employee profile. To do that, just follow these steps:

  1. From the Payroll menu, select the Employees page.
  2. Click on the employee you want to edit.
  3. Select the Edit pencil next to the section titled Pay.
  4. Scroll until you find step 4 and select the Edit pencil to update their hourly rate.
  5. Hit Done twice when complete to save your changes.

If the paycheques in question are older or you're having difficulty making the necessary changes, our team of payroll experts are here to support you. Reaching out to our support team using one of the methods below will allow you to connect with an agent who can forward you a form that'll allow you to request changes to your payroll. Our team will make the corrections from the back end within a few days of receiving your request. It's a straightforward process so I'm confident you'll have this sorted out in no time.
