I processed Dec 2020 payroll in Jan 2021, the payments were then recorded in Jan's PD4A but not in December's. I set accrual accounting already. How to correct this?

Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I know you want all of your records to be accurate. I can help explain what is happening in your QuickBooks Online Payroll account when you see the PD7A form.

 

The PD7A reports on the taxes withheld or the remittances. The taxes can't be withheld until the wages are paid. The PD7A is not tracking cost, which is why the accounting method doesn't affect the form. If you want it to appear on the December PD7A, you would have had to pay them in December.
