Question

I submitted payroll last week for and one employee had changed bank account but didn't let me know. It went to her previous and no longer in use account. Can I fix this?

How can I fix this? Also where has the money gone?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! QuickBooks Online Payroll gives you the option to change your employees direct deposit information when you need to. Let me help you get this changed!

 

You can change your employees banking information by following these simple steps:

 

  1. Go to "Payroll"  and select "Employees".
  2. In the section for, "How do you want to pay ( employee)", click on "Edit".
  3. Select the payment method.
  4. Enter the required information.
  5. When finished, select OK.

Additionally, in order to see what can be done for the funds that have already been deposited to their previous bank, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of these methods:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
