I tried entering a partial Tax liability payment and now I have messed this up I need help fixing this?

To record a partial payment or an instalment against your sales tax liabilities against your most recent return, you can follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Taxes menu and select Sales Tax
2. Hit the New button to the right of the page.
3. From the dropdown, select Instalment.
4. Choose the account that you'd like the payment to be made from, as well as the date of the payment. 
5. Specify the filing date and amount that you'll be paying.
6. Hit Record instalment.
