I've always had independent contractors but recently brought on some as employees. I'm not quite sure how to add in hours worked ON a satutory holiday.

For example for an 8 hour workday (they get time and a half for working on the stat)...do I enter 8 in the regular field and 4 in the stat field? And then add their other entitlement on top of that? Normally I pay 1/20th of the last 4 completed weeks since they're not full time.

Entering the correct payroll information for stat holidays is a key step when paying your employees that worked that holiday. I can help you with how to make the entries in QuickBooks Online.

 

A great payroll feature of QuickBooks Online is that the stat holiday pay is automatically enabled so you can make your entries right from the start. In order to make sure your payroll stat holiday pay is set up correctly you can follow the steps in this article.
