After you Prepare return in the sales tax module, you'll want to ensure the Start date and End date fields are accurate.  QuickBooks Online will automatically apply the dates based on the payment schedule you've entered for the tax agency.  To check the information and ensure it's accurate follow these steps;

1. Open Taxes and then Sales tax from the left menu

2. Click on Manage sales tax

3. Select the Edit ✎ beside the Agency name

4. Make any necessary changes to Next period starts, Filing frequency and Reporting method

5. Hit Save when complete
