Question

Is there a way to pay corporate taxes and have them show up on the P&L below PROFIT?I think of the company's PROFIT as being pre-tax.

Hello gprince,

I'm glad to hear that you're making sure you have all of your business finances accounted for in QuickBooks Online. Entering Corporate Tax payments and other related transactions can be tricky, so I recommend reaching out to an accountant to make sure the details are right. I've got a couple community questions and responses that can help you, which I'll link below, but first I'll start with connecting with an accountant.

In this case, it'd be super helpful if your accountant was also familiar with QuickBooks Online. That way, they'll both know how to deal with these transactions from an accounting perspective as well as have the QuickBooks know-how to enter them in your books.

You can add an accountant you already have by entering their email into the invite field on the My Accountant section in the program. To find an accountant, go to that same section, click Find a Pro to Help, and start searching by city name or postal code.

Here are the community questions I mentioned. They even include responses from accountant users, which may help with piecing this all together.

All the best to you and have a wonderful weekend!
