Question

It says I need more information for an employee, but it does not tell me what I need to fill in. It all appears correct. I need to pay him tomorrow.

It's great that you've decided to run payroll with QuickBooks Online! If your payday is tomorrow, I know how important it is to be able to finish the employee setup process today. I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction. 

 

Here's a checklist of things you'll need to set up for each employee in QBO:

  • Employee names, addresses, and Social Insurance Numbers from your employees’ T4 forms.
  • Employee withholdings from the employee’s TD1 form.
  • Employee wages/salaries, additions, deductions, and company contributions.
  • Sick and vacation time hours and monies accrued.
