Just starting on QB. I had to enter previous payroll amounts from old system, which I have done. The end results in #'s is correct, except for the Taxes Withheld Amount.

When you're entering year-to-date information in the payroll setup for your employee, there are just a few quick questions to make sure we have the correct time periods, and then you can enter the details. The good news is that if you've entered the numbers and noticed that there's a mistake before running your first payroll, you can go back into the employee profile and make a change by following these steps in the Employee section of the Payroll tab.

1. Select the employee name.
2. Choose Edit employee.
3. Click the pencil icon beside the How much did you pay [employee] this year?
4. Change the amounts as needed.
5. Click Continue to save.
6. Click Done to exit the employee profile.
