Once you turn on the payroll to try it out for a year, can you turn it back off if decided not to use it?

Hi annette-jacobs.

 

Giving you complete control of your QuickBooks subscription is something we believe in because who knows what you need better than yourself. I'd be happy to go over more about the payroll add on for QuickBooks Online.

 

When it comes to payroll you can add or remove it when you want. First you'll need to confirm if you are the primary or company administrator for the account by following these steps:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙.
  2. Under Your Company, select Manage Users.
  3. Find your user name, then check if you are a "Primary Admin" or "Admin" in the User Type column.

Once you verify that you are either the primary or the company admin you can then remove your payroll subscription by following these steps:

  1. Select Settings ⚙️.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Select Billing Subscription.
  4. In the Payroll section, select Cancel.
  5. Select Continue to cancel.
  6. Complete the short survey, then select Cancel Payroll Service.
