Payroll deduction payment

Welcome to the QuickBooks family!  It's essential that you're on the right track with paying your QuickBooks Online Payroll remittances, in keeping in good standing with the CRA.  I'd be happy to help!

QuickBooks will remind you when tax payments are due and how much you owe on the Pay Taxes page.  When you Record the payment, you'll enter the payment date and add a cheque number for reference.  Please note that you are only recording the payment in QuickBooks.  You'll still need to pay the CRA outside of your QuickBooks account.  Here's a helpful guide to assist you with recording your payroll tax payments.  However, depending on your business, you may need to pay electronically.   You can set up e-file and e-pay by following the steps here.
