Question

Payroll taxes were paid to CRA online, but they have not been applied to the payroll liability account. Do I need to change/update something? No previous issues.

Tried the "pay" option and the "mark as paid" option and neither one transfers the payment to the liability account.

Thanks for coming to the Community for support. Being able to record your transactions in QuickBooks Online is an important step in maintaining clean books. 

 I'd be happy to provide some information about your payments not transferring to the right account. 

 

This is a known issue currently in QuickBooks. It may be browsing data on your system that is preventing the software from doing what it is supposed to do. Here are some steps to resolve issues that are caused by browsing data:

If you're still unable to see the payment in the Payroll liability account, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen if necessary. They'll also be able to attach your account to the list of affected accounts that are experiencing the same issue as you. You can reach them using one of these methods:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
