Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online automatically calculates the associated sales tax on your transactions.  Filing and recording your sales tax payments, is essential in keeping your books balanced.

Recording your sales tax payments can be accomplished directly within the sales tax module.  However, the payment will need to be made outside of QuickBooks Online.  Filing sales tax is a four part process and can be accomplished seamlessly, by following the steps here.
