Provincial TD1 is wrong on latest Qb Desktop Enterprise update

Good Morning, 

Last week we did the 2023 update for QB Desktop Enterprise. I am adding a new employee today and I noticed that our Provincial TD1 is now populating at the wrong default amount for Manitoba. 

As per the CRA the TD1 2023 amount for Manitoba is $15,000

QB has changed all of our Manitoba employees to $19,145.00

Do I have to manually change 1 employee at a time to to the correct amount or is there a QB Fix for this issue already?

I appreciate you reaching out to us here.  It's important to have the payroll calculations aligned with government guidelines in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.  I'd be happy to shed some light on this!


Earlier this year, the Government of Manitoba announced an increase to the basic personal amount, that went into effect January 1, 2023.  The personal amount was increased to $15,000.  However, since employees have received a lower amount over the first six months of the year, you'll see a prorated amount of $19,145 applied for the remaining six months, commencing on the first payroll in July.
