QB Canada Premier 2020 - Payroll

Hi, I have a trial version of QB Canada Premier 2020. Under employee, there are payroll related modules. I have not investigated the employee payroll modules yet. But, there is also a QB Payroll on a subscription basis. What are the differences between the two ? We need payroll processing including sending payments to the government. I am assuming we should get the Payroll subscription. But would like to know what the differences are.  I tried asking QB, but, no one has gotten back to me. Thanks!

The payroll add on is a great tool that gives you access to not only running payroll but also pulling up reports. I can help go over how payroll works for QuickBooks Desktop.

 

In QuickBooks Desktop there are no two kinds of payroll. The only way to have payroll would be to set up a subscription for the add on. You can find out more about the payroll service and prices here. I suggest looking over this article to find out more about setting up payroll if you decide to sign up.
