Question

QB Payroll year end UK - where are the UK instructions?

I am very concerned that QB is not giving correct tax year end instructions.  Terms like "federal and provincial actions"  and "social insurance numbers" do not inspire confidence.  I had to search in order to find any instructions at all, and since we pay weekly wages, I have to complete the year end before Friday April 12.  I used to use Sage payroll and they sent clear instructions.  QB send nothing at all and leave users to find their own way around it.   Nothing about P11D or P60 on the instructions, and I think the ones I found are actually Canadian??  Really poor .

Hi there, RPC2.

In QuickBooks Desktop, you can prepare and run your payroll year-end for 2018/2019 and process your P60 form. For the steps and details, you can check out this article: Preparing and running payroll year end 2018/9.

To process the P11D form, you'll need to visit the tax agency to generate the form. For more details about reporting your employees/director's end-of-year expenses and benefits, please click this link: End-of-year expenses and benefits (P11D).
