Hello annette-tranquil,

I know that when you're working with programs like QuickBooks Online and its Payroll module that you rely on accuracy to ensure that your employees are being paid correctly and your remittances to the government are accurate. I'm glad to see you're keeping an eye on these figures all the same, and I'd be happy to lend a hand on this.

QuickBooks Online Payroll is designed to line up with government requirements and calculations, and since you're seeing the calculated figure for EI is off, it could mean that there's something amiss in the system. In this situation, it'll help us to take a closer look at your setup and the numbers you're looking at to see how the miscalculations are manifesting and narrow down how we can go about fixing them.

Using one of the following options, you can connect with a member of our support team to have a one-on-one conversation about this, which will give them the opportunity to look over this in detail and review back-end setups.
