The income tax deducted for employees seems lower than it should be. How can I verify it is correct?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online Payroll is designed to simplify the process of paying your employees.  When the income tax deductions seem off, it can be quite concerning.  I would be glad to assist!

QuickBooks automatically calculates deductions and company contributions based on government guidelines, to ensure consistent calculations and accuracy on tax forms.  Click here to learn more about the different types of payroll items applied to your employee paycheques, and how each item impacts taxes.   In addition, some employees my be exempt.  If you're not certain if an employee should be exempt from certain taxes, I suggest speaking with an accounting professional.  If you don't have an accountant, we can help you locate a ProAdvisor in your local area.
