Took an active employee and changed it to not on the payroll, it will not change back or let me re-enter an employee

It's always a pleasure to see new faces in the Community, Welcome! Thanks for reaching out to us here. Being able to add/reactivate your employees without running into any issues is important. I recommend clearing your cache and cookies, or trying a different browser, as it may be browsing data that is preventing the software from doing what it is supposed to do.

 

If the issue persist, I encourage you to reach out to the support team outside of the Community. With your consent, they'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of these methods:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
