Union company, How do I add a payroll deduction that is hourly?

We are a Unionized company and I'm trying to set the deductions for Payroll. My issue is that I can't figure out how to set it up hourly? Dues are calculated hourly... Anyone figured out how to se

Hi KPage1,

 

Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  Setting up an hourly deduction in QuickBooks Online isn't available at this time.  You can manually enter the amount or percentage on the employee's profile.  I'll be happy to show you how!

 

Follow these steps;

1. Open Payroll from the left menu and then Employees

2. Select the Employee

3. Click on the Edit ✎ in the section that reads 'Does [employee name] have any deductions?'

4. Open Other deductions from the Deductions/Contributions ▼ dropdown menu

5. Choose a type

6. Enter a Name for the deduction

7. Select either $ amount, % of gross pay or None

8. When finished Hit OK
