We had to file a short period Y/E with CRA and changing the Y/E for the company. How do I Select April 4th 2024 as the short period Y/E & next period Apr 5th to Mar 31

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online is designed to simplify your business accounting, and bookkeeping goals.  I would be happy to show you how to edit your fiscal year!

Changing your year end dates can be done through your settings. Here's how;

1. Open your Settings ⚙, then choose Account and settings
2. Click the Advanced tab
3. Select the Edit 📝 in the Accounting section
4. Choose the First month of fiscal year from the ▼ dropdown menu
5. Hit Done.
Note; You'll see that there isn't an option to choose a specific day of the month.  When running reports, you'll still select the first month of the fiscal year, then manually adjust the date to a specific day, to see accurate fiscal year information.
