Question

We paid 2 employees on 18 Feb and for one of employee in "Pay Cheque List" Status is showing as Returned. whats next? How can we resubmit payrol to same employee?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. Paying your employees accurately and in a timely manner is a vital task. Sometimes things happen and an employee's payroll direct deposit doesn't go through, so it's important that you know how to handle this situation. Let me give you a hand.

 

Usually when an employee's pay was returned, you'll have received an email with some further detail on the reason for the return. It's important that you locate that email and take note of the return code, if any. The article below will explain why you're receiving a specific code:

It's important to note that you can run payroll again as normal for this employee only in order to pay them by paper cheque if they need their pay immediately. You'll just have to select Cheque rather than Direct Deposit as the payment method.
