Question

What's the Date of Birth format for setting up direct deposit under the Principal Officer. I'm using MM/DD/YYYY and it's not accepting it nor suggesting the format?

Hi usertreemen,

Welcome to the Community! QuickBooks Online Payroll's direct deposit feature makes paying your employees easier than ever. I can help you get this set up.

The Principal's Date of Birth field uses the dd/mm/yyyy format, and there are two ways you can enter it. The first option is to manually enter the date. Alternatively, you can click on the little calendar icon beside the date field and select the Principal's birthday from there. That way, it automatically goes into the correct format within the field. You can find more information about the direct deposit setup process here.

If the system still isn't accepting the date after entering it in dd/mm/yyyy format, then this could be a performance issue caused by a build up of cookies and cached files within your internet browser. The steps to clear this data varies slightly depending on which browser you're using, so I recommend checking the steps found in our Community article Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online
