When I click on "Run Payroll" the program just loops back to the screen that lists my employees rather than allowing me to generate a paycheck or direct deposit.

Thanks for posting your concern here in the Community. Let me share an update about the Run Payroll issue in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

I've checked our investigation list, and I found out that we have an ongoing issue wherein some customers QBO screen loops back around to Employees list tab when trying to Run Payroll. Right now, our engineers are already investigating the root cause of this unexpected hitch and are working to implement a solution. 

 

While we're continuing to work on resolving this issue, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can add you to our notification list of affected users to receive live email updates about this issue. Once you're with our support, please inform them to add you to the investigation number INV-33142.

 

Here's how to contact our customer support:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
