Question

When I filled my return the system created tax split payment that is currently making my checking account out of balance. How can I fix it?

Hi there FERSHTEH FROUDE,

 

Making sure that your tax payments are recorded well is important in order for your bank balance to be correct. QuickBooks Online is a great tool to keep track of the tax on sales and purchases to make filing with the government easier. I can provide some assistance with making sure your tax payments are correct.

 

if you were to want to delete the payment that is incorrect, you can navigate the Taxes page, then select the Sales tax section. Click on Payments, then find the incorrect payment. Click on the drop-down menu in the Action column, and select Delete. Once deleted, the return that was associated with this payment will have a balance associated with it. You can navigate to the Filings section of the Sales tax tab to create a new payment. Make sure to enter the right amount and select the right bank account to affect.
