Question

Why did the PD7A form get moved?

I used to go to Taxes > Payroll tax and the PD7A worksheet link would be at the top of the page. Now, it seems I have to:

1. Taxes > Payroll tax.

2. Click Fillings.

3. Scroll down to Remittance forms (monthly) and click.

Is there a faster way to get to this form that I use every time I remit a payment? A cleaner interface does not always mean a more usable interface.

Hi andie787,

Welcome back to Community!  Locating the Payroll Forms is definitely something you'd expect to be able to access quickly as you've done many times before.  QuickBooks Online provides easy access to all of the features throughout the product.  I'd be happy to shine some light on this for you.

In this case, you're correct when mentioning finding the PD7A  in Taxes and then Payroll Tax.  However, in the newly updated Payroll Tax Centre, the Payments tab will have your tax info, history and liabilities and in Filings you'll see all forms that need to be filed.  Essentially, we've cleaned things up.

As you may already be aware, QuickBooks Online has an in-product feature known as Feedback.  When customers submit valuable insights and suggestions for improvements or new additions to provide the best customer experience, we listen.  We also take into perspective that when making changes, it may take a little time for everyone to adjust to them and that's why we offer our full support.

I hope this gives you a better understanding with regards to our most recent update.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach back out.  We'd be happy to help!

As I said in my original post, cleaner does not always equal more usable. Many people file and pay at the same time. So, I'm not sure why having to do 3 extra steps to get to my form is just something I have to get used to. I mean, you need to look at the form to pay, right? Or am I missing something?
