Hello quaildance,

It's nice to see you in Community.  To ensure your books are balanced in QuickBooks Online, payroll remittances must be marked as filed and the payment information applied.  This will provide a positive outcome on your books, so you can reconcile effortlessly.

Once you record the payroll tax payment, you'll be able to match it with your bank statement.  Here's how;

1. Go Payroll tax, then Filings

2. In the Upcoming tax payments section, select Pay for the tax you want to pay, select Record Payment

3. For the Payment Date, select Other, and enter the actual date the payment was made

4. When you're ready, hit Record and print

Note;  You can confirm your tax payment has been recorded, by going to Reports, then type and enter Payroll Tax Payments in the search bar.

Feel free to reach back out with other questions.  We would be happy to help!
