Hi there,

Running payroll with QuickBooks Online is an awesome way to streamline your bookkeeping and stay organized. Your payroll tax settings are in place to keep everything orderly and ensure your payroll expenses are being accounted for properly. If you're noticing that your configuration settings have been disrupted, I'll point you in the right direction to resolve that.

At this time, there's no report of this type of issue on a more widespread basis. It's likely that this is account-specific and may even be caused by browser-related bugs.

Try a few browser troubleshooting steps first to see if that resolves the issue.

Try clearing the cache and cookies in your web browser to remove any stored Internet files. These stored files can cause bugs in QBO and other sites. Here's how to clear them: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

If the issue persists, try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome. This is a private browsing mode that operates separately from the main browser, and it doesn't get impacted by stored cache and cookies. Here's more information about that and how to use it: Browse in Private. You should also try using multiple different browsers.

It may also be important to inquire with any other users on your QBO account to see whether or not any changes were made by them. Depending on their user permissions, a colleague of yours may have made changes.

If you're still running into issues, I'd recommend touching base with our tech support team so an agent can take a closer look at what may be happening. I'm confident our team will be able to sort this out for you.

Cheers.
