Why is it so expensive to file my taxes through Quickbooks? I can do them myself but I'm not paying $500 to file my own taxes. Is there a free option?

I know how important it is to file your taxes for your small business. QuickBooks Online Accountant offers an add-on service, Pro Tax, to help you manage and grow your corporate tax business. The software allows users to complete corporate tax returns directly to the CRA from any device. The tax calculations are powered by the same tax engine as Intuit’s ProFile product, which ensures accuracy and compliance. You can be assured that your return is done right.

At this time, these tax filing solutions are offered at a paid rate, and there's no free alternative within the QuickBooks program itself. You can record your sales tax filings in QBO, but in order to actually file your sales or income taxes, you'd need a paid subscription.
