Hello microbrasserieco,

It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  There are times when transactions need to be split between accounts, and it can be rather concerning when this isn't being applied.  I would be glad to help!

Follow these steps to split the transaction;

1. From the left menu, open Transactions, then Chart of accounts

2. Locate the account for the transaction

3. Click on Account history, under the Action column

4. Select the transaction, then hit Edit. This will open the transaction

5. Enter the other accounts to add with the appropriate amount
Note: The amounts for each account should add up to the total amount of the transaction.

6. Hit Save

The transaction now displays as a Split in the account column.

If you experience the same result, please contact our Customer Care team outside of Community.  Your time is valuable and they can connect with you in real time, to ensure you're able to complete your QuickBooks tasks without delay!

Feel free to reach out with other questions.  We'd be happy to assist!
