Having the right payroll cycle set up for your employees is the key to having them paid on time. I'd be happy to go over how to change your employees payroll cycle.

 

In order to change the scheduled payroll cycle for your employees you'll need to go into Payroll>Employees. From there select the employee whos payroll cycle you wish to change and click the pencil beside Pay. This'll bring up the payroll set up for the employee, scroll down to section 3 How often do you pay. On the drop down select the correct pay cycle or create a new one by selecting add new.

 

If you already ran payroll and are looking to correct it you'd need to delete the paycheques that have been created. You can delete them by following the steps in this article. If you have direct deposit set up you'd need to contact our support team so it can be corrected. You can reach them using one of the following methods:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
