Bank doesn't reconcile

Let me help you reconcile your account in QuickBooks, @userbookkeepercybele.

When you reconcile an account, you compare transactions in QuickBooks with the same ones on your bank statements. After you review everything, the difference between the ending balance in QuickBooks and your bank statement should be A$0.00.

Here are the following possible causes if the ending balances don't match.

• Someone entered an incorrect ending balance at the start of the reconciliation.
• There are missing or duplicate transactions in QuickBooks.
• Someone entered transactions into QuickBooks that haven't cleared your bank yet.

To fix this, let's ensure that your opening and beginning balances are correct. You can use these resources to help you in narrowing down the issue and fix it:

• Fix issues the first time you reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online
• Fix issues with your beginning balance for accounts you've reconciled before

When you start a reconciliation, you enter the ending balance from your bank statement. We can also review this and make sure you entered the correct amount. Here's how:

1. While you're reconciling an account, in the Reconciliation window, select Edit info.
2. Review the Ending balance and Ending date.
3. Check your bank statement and make edits as needed.
4. When you're done, click Save.
