Question

As of Oct. 28/19, my chequing account no longer automatically updates. I click update; and it tells me it has updated; but it clearly has not. How can I fix it?

Hi there,

It's vital your bank feeds automatically updates so you're up to date with the most recent transactions. Rest assured, I'll be glad to give you a hand with this.

Before we start, I recommend you to log in to your bank's website to confirm if the new transactions are posted in your bank account since the transactions downloaded to QBO are dependent on the data from your bank.

After doing this, you'll need to manually update your bank account to bring in the transactions to QBO. Here's how:

  1.     On the left navigation bar, click Banking.
  2.     Go to Banking tab.
  3.     Click Update.

For your reference, you can check this article: How to manually update bank accounts.

If in case there are missing transactions in QBO, we'll need to download bank transactions manually from your bank's website and import them into QuickBooks using WebConnect.

To learn more about WebConnect, you can check this article:How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.

If you need further assistance with the steps, you can contact our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They have additional tools to pull up your account in a secure environment and do a remote session. Let me know if you have other questions. I'm here to help steer you in the right direction.

Otherwise, enjoy the rest of your day. I'll be on standby if you need anything.
