Automatically split an expense to classes by %

Can I set up expenses to automatically split the amount to various classes by %?

 

For example, I have an expense of $500 for an expense category, say Office Supplies.  Can I set it up so that any time Office Supplies is used, there is a % allocation to various classes? 20% to Class A, 15% to Class B, 65% to Class C?

Using classes is a great way to categorize your transactions to make them easier to search and pull up in reports. I'd be happy to answer your questions regarding allocating a percent to each class.

 

Currently being able to split an expense amount between multiple classes is not something that can be currently done in QuickBooks Online. If this is something you wish to have added I suggest sending feedback to our development team. You can send feedback by using the following steps: 

 

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Once they receive your feedback they'll look into ways to possibly add this in future updates.
