Can i delete old accounts that have not been used in years?

QuickBooks Online is a flexible platform that lets you easily manage your business and stay on top of your finances. I’ll gladly assist you with this. If an account within your Chart of Accounts is not relevant anymore, you have the option of making it inactive. Keep in mind that deleting an account is not an integrated feature of the system. To deactivate an account, do as follows:

1. Select Accounting from the left menu
2. Select Chart of Accounts
3. Locate the account you wish to deactivate
4. Under the ACTION column, click the small triangle
5. Select Make inactive
6. Review the prompt and select Yes
