Hi there,

While running a small business, the most important thing for your bookkeeping is to categorize and enter transactions properly according to your accounting needs. QBO makes this easy for you, offering flexibility in your data entry. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction for help recording a Skip The Dishes purchase.

The method you'll use to enter this expense largely depends on how you've structured the transaction in real life. For instance, you may consider this a personal transaction, paid for with business funds. Alternatively, this may be a business expense paid for with personal funds. If you're not sure, I'd recommend consulting with your accountant to get their insight. If you're not yet connected to an accountant, you can find one in your area by visiting our website here: Find a ProAdvisor.

Based on their recommendations, here's a few articles that will help you record your transaction:

The third article in this list will help you decide between the various expense transaction types, and when to create an expense in QBO.

I hope this helps you get back on track. If you have any other questions or need any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our tech support team

Cheers.
