How can I edit the bank account for a pay cheque. When I display the list of cheques for an employee and edit there is no option to change the bank account?

I am looking for how to edit the source bank account not the direct deposit account.

Hi Iroes, 

 

Congrats on your first post in the Community. Making sure the source bank account for your payroll is correct is an important task when it comes to accurately recording your transactions. I'll be happy to show you how to change the bank account information for payroll in QuickBooks Online. 

 

There are just a few steps to change your payroll account info. Here's how:

 

1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.

2. Select Payroll Settings.

3. Choose Preferences at the top of the page, beside of Setup.

4. Click Accounting Preferences.

5. Select Customize at the bottom of the page.

6. You'll then be able to choose the right account to use for payroll.
