How can you change a project to be connected to a different customer? ie if a client has more than one company and they want a certain project billed to a different one.

Let me have the pleasure to help share information about projects in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can modify a project's name, however, there isn't an option to the change the customer linked to a specific project. If you wish to connect a customer to a specific project, you need to create a new one.

Here's how:

1. Log in to your QBO account.
2. Click on Projects at the left pane.
3. Click on New project under the Projects page.
4. Enter the project name under the New project page, select the customer's name who's the project for.
5. You can add details you want to remember under the Notes section.
6. Click on Save.
