How do you change the payment account in an expense?

Hey there ar-ap-squiresind,

 

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's always great to see a new face. It's important that your expense go into the right accounts. I can provide some information about how to change the payment account.

 

To change the Payment account for expenses you'll need to create an expense. Follow the steps below.

 

  1. Click on the +New button at the top left corner of your QuickBooks account.
  2. In the Suppliers column, click on Expense.
  3. Once you're in the expense form, you will see Payment account beside Payee. There will be a drop down menu. 
  4. Click on the drop down arrow and select the account you would like to use.
  5. Fill out the required information for the expense.
  6. Click Save and done, Or Save and send.
