Glad to have you here in the community, @ohmy-glass-to-gm.

I want to help you further with this concern, but I need to ask a few questions for clarification. Can you please confirm if this expense is from the bank feeds or is it the transaction created inside QuickBooks? Also, what is the error message you get when you try to edit the entry? Any additional details will help me point you to the right direction.

If you're referring to the transactions created manually in QuickBooks that's not allowing you to edit the payment method, let's do some browser troubleshooting for it. Unexpected issues with the features in QuickBooks, like managing vendor transactions, are sometimes associated with the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If the problem doesn't come up, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO.

Please update this thread with the result of the troubleshooting or the additional updates. I want to make sure you're able to edit your expenses in QuickBooks.
