Question

I'm just starting QB and I'm wondering, if it's better to start by connecting bank accounts and credit cards or to manually enter expenses that aren't on either of those?

Hi root88,

Thanks for joining us! It's exciting to hear you're starting with QuickBooks Online to easily manage your books. I'll be happy to point you in the right direction with this.

It sounds like you've already got familiar with the online banking feature that helps you save time in the running of your business. To assist you during the process of connecting your bank or credit card account, here's an article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

Depending on how you'd prefer to handle your books, you can either start by automatically downloading your transactions and review any missing transactions to be entered manually or the other way round. Your accountant would be an incredible source to help you decide on the best way to approach this. In case you don't have an accountant, you can find one on our Find-a-ProAdvisor website

I hope this helps! You're always welcome to stop by if you have more questions.
