Payment Error

When I try to record a payment of a bill in QuickBooks Desktop Pro I am getting the following message:

 

Due to an error recording the payment for ABC Ltd. QuickBooks stopped processing payments.  No bill payments were recorded.

 

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?  I had hoped that it would resolve itself over time but I have been receiving the error for 3 days now.  I have tried with multiple vendors and it will not let me pay any of my bills in EUROS.  I have also tried going through the GL and it lets me do an entry for the payment in the GL but it will not let me apply the credit created to the bill through the bill payment function.

I appreciate you letting me know the error you're receiving when trying to apply bill payments to your open bills. I can see how this would slow down your workflow and I want to make sure you're getting the help you need for sorting this out.

 

Because of the message you're getting, we'll need to clarify what's going on. It sounds, for instance, like you may be using some sort of bill payment processor. If that's the case, you may need to follow up with your bill payment processor in order to troubleshooting this issue and find out more about resolving it.
