PO item drop down doesn't show the purchase description

When searching for an item to insert into the PO, the drop down doesn't show the purchase description, only the sales description. 

 

Because this is a PO, it should show the purchase description.

Hi there zhen_tcsi,

 

It's vital that your transactions have the correct information displayed so that your supplier knows what you're purchasing from them. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you create expenses, bills, purchase orders and bill payments so you can keep track of the purchases you make with a supplier. I can provide some information about the drop-down menus when creating transactions.

 

When creating all transactions, whether it be a sale transaction like an invoice, or an expense transaction like purchase orders, when looking through the Product and services drop-down, the Description field is what is shown within the drop-down menu itself. Once selected to be applied in an expense transaction, it will be the Purchase Information field that will appear. I can see how being able to see the Purchase Information instead of the Description could help you with managing your purchases in QuickBooks. I recommend leaving feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear Icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration by our developers when designing new features for future updates of the software.
